MUSIC NOTES

Message for Instrumental students

All instrumental lessons will begin this week (2). Students have been told their time during the induction meetings last week and they are displayed on the windows outside the music block.  Teachers have a timetable and it is the student’s responsibility to arrive on time. They are to bring their named music tuition book, cleaning cloths and other requirements.  Students who have their own instrument are to also bring it to their lesson.  Beginners who have returned their Loan Agreement Form will receive their instrument.  Invoices will be sent out soon, so don’t pay any money till you receive them.  Remember, QParents is the quickest option for any payments.

ALL STUDENTS NEED TO CHECK THE TIMETABLE FOR THEIR INSTRUMENTAL LESSON LOCATED ON THE WINDOWS OUTSIDE THE MUSIC BLOCK. IF YOUR CHILD HAS MISSED THEIR INDUCTION MEETING PLEASE ASK THEM TO SEE ME AT FIRST BREAK ON FRIDAY 7 FEBRUARY.

Please remember the correct way to enter/exit the Music Block safely with your instruments.

  • LEAVE YOUR SCHOOL BAG OUTSIDE - not in the door/walkway. Parents/siblings to wait outside.
  • ENTER through far end door of Music Block and WALK to the Instrument Storage Room.
  • EXIT is through the Music Room – WALK

Message for Chamber (Year 6 reauditioning students only), Senior Choir (Yr 5 and 6) and Boys Chorus (4-6) students

Yr. 6 re-auditioning students from Chamber Choir, Senior Choir and Boys Chorus will begin rehearsals in Week 2. Thank you to students who were organised to return their choir contracts last year. If your child is interested in joining a Choir, please ask them to pick up a contract form me. We have very high expectations for these choirs and weekly attendance is very important. Students who do not regularly attend and miss rehearsals may not be able to perform at events throughout the year, as they will not be prepared.
