From the Principal's Desk
Congratulations to Our Chamber Choir – Outstanding Award at Choral Fanfare Regional Finals!
We are incredibly proud to announce that our Chamber Choir received an Outstanding Choir Award at the Regional Finals of Choral Fanfare, held on Monday 23 June. This remarkable achievement recognises the dedication, skill, and passion of our talented students and their conductor Music Director Robyn Kelly, who have worked tirelessly to refine their performance to an exceptional standard.
Choral Fanfare is a prestigious, statewide choral program coordinated by the Department of Education. It provides state school choirs with the opportunity to perform publicly, receive professional feedback, and celebrate the joy of singing in a collaborative setting. Schools from across Queensland participate, showcasing their musical talents in a supportive and encouraging environment.
Making it to the Regional Finals is a significant accomplishment in itself. It means our choir was selected as one of the top-performing ensembles in the initial rounds – no small feat given the high calibre of choirs in our region. To then be recognised with an Outstanding Choir Award at this level speaks volumes about the excellence of our program.
We commend every choir member for their commitment, resilience, and teamwork. A special thank you goes to our music staff and conductor for their guidance and unwavering support.
Bravo to our Chamber Choir – your voices have done us proud!
