Music Notes

Our Beginner Band and Violin students who only hire an instrument for one year should begin thinking about the purchase of an instrument for next year.  There are many local music shops close by and if you need help regarding certain brands let us know.   Please make sure you deal with a reputable music store and not the supermarket franchises as generally the quality is limited and these can be more difficult to service when problems occur.  It may cost more to fix than the instrument is worth.  Keep in mind that instruments make great Christmas presents. (Please note Mr Holloway will measure violin and viola students at the end of term four as they still have time to grow.)

Thank you to the groups who performed for the Taiwanese guest teachers, the Open Day and the Junior Strings Immersion Day. Thank you to all of the students who remembered to wear their performance uniform and then change after.

Thank you to the parents who helped at the Junior Strings Immersion Day BBQ. The grade three students had a wonderful day of learning together from Warrigal, Macgregor and Robertson State Schools. An enjoyable day filled with hard work. Thanks to Robyn Gray, You-Jin Hong and Mr. Holloway for your teaching mastery.

Message for Choirs

Senior Choir:
We’ve been focusing on memorising Oye La Musica in preparation for our Book Week performance. Please make sure to prioritise this piece in your practice schedule this week so we’re ready to perform confidently.

Junior Choir:
Our Junior Choir has been working incredibly hard to memorise their pieces — and at this rate, they might just outshine the seniors! Keep up the great effort — it’s not going unnoticed.
